From our soil to your oil
Simon and Chris are fifth generation farmers from the Mead family who have been farming in the Chilterns since 1860. The Mead's 150 year experience in sustainable agriculture means that only the highest quality rapeseed is used in producing Chiltern Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil.
With plenty going on, Simon and Chris employ family and local people to help bottle the oil. Both Simon and Chris are extremely proud that they can produce great tasting products from their family farm.
"We are a traditional mixed farm with arable, cattle and sheep. We believe that mixed farms help support sustainable farming practises which are beneficial to both the farmer and the surrounding environment, encouraging local wildlife to thrive. We have a number of wildlife schemes on our farm. "
We've called the Chilterns home for over 150 years. Th Chilterns is one of Britain's best kept secrets. It has a fantastically diverse farming community with abundant local food producers.
